Did you know that Quaker Oatmeal packets have a built-in water measurement on the packet?
I’m not sure why I find this so exciting, but it sure makes getting just the right amount of water much easier than using guesswork.
Open the packet and put the oatmeal into a bowl. Put water into the packet up to the water line (you can see the line through the packet). Yes, the paper packet is water tight! Pour that amount of water into your bowl with the oatmeal. Microwave until it is at the consistency you like. PERFECT!

David eats oatmeal every morning and his has the water line on the package, too….and I know he uses it. Small world. Football weekend – looks like it’s going to be cold and rainy here. Sending you an easy recipe we (and especially the grand kids) love – via separate email! I’m fixing it this afternoon!
