A couple months ago I updated all my eBook covers for the Unlikely Catches series. I switched my “sweet” covers with the more traditional male chest cover. I was torn on doing this, but thought that a more traditional cover might attract more readers.
After a couple months, it is unclear to me as to whether the new covers are better, worse or the same in terms of sales. The stories are still the same, but as we all know, many people judge a book by the cover. So, the cover is the best way to entice new readers.
I’m getting ready to design the cover for Winning Trey’s Heart. Should I go back to the “sweet” cover look or use the traditional bare male chest? The before and after covers are shown below.
I’d love to hear from my readers as to what you prefer!

Stealing Alan’s Heart before & after covers:

Good morning! I personally like the “sweet” covers better because to me it indicates it’s more of a Hallmark love story kind of book. The male chest cover indicates there is probably a lot of gratuitous sex in the book and that’s not my favorite part! Of course I may be too old to appreciate the sex!

I agree with the previous post. I like the sweet covers for the same reason.
